Brown Bag Mystery 2024 Kit - Batik Cake
1 - How do I participate in Brown Bag Mystery?
You can buy your kit(s) from any local Sewposium quilt shop, including Mad B's Quilt and Sew!
Your kit will include all of the fabrics you need to make the project, a registration sheet, and the first set of cutting instructions. Then, we will start sending out bi-weekly instructions through the mail on how to complete the mystery project, piece by piece, starting on 3/16/24.
2 - Are there any specific notions needed to create the Brown Bag Mystery quilt?
No extra notions are required, but there are some suggested tools that can be helpful.
- 45/90 degree ruler by Creative Grids
- Triangles on a roll (2" Finished Size)
3 - Do I have to be in the same state as the shop where I bought my kit?
No! You can buy kits from anywhere in the United States and Canada. Each shop that you buy a kit from will send you the pattern pieces on the designated mailing dates
4 - How long do I have to make my mystery quilt?
You can take as long as you want! There is no time limit as far as when the quilt needs to be done. However, the clues will be mailed out March 16 through May 11. The videos on the Facebook group will be available through March 2025 (when the next Brown Bag Mystery starts).

You can purchase as many kits as you want, from as many Sewposium shops as you want. We are happy to experience this mystery quilt with everyone! If a kit you want shows “Sold Outâ€, please reach out to us, as we should be able to make more to order.
